Construction Manager
As the Construction Manager, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. With attention to detail and strong organizational skills, you will ensure that all construction activities align with the established timeline and financial allocation.
Your expertise in project management will be crucial in coordinating resources, resolving any issues that may arise, and delivering successful construction projects.
• Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in managing commercial or industrial construction projects.
Knowledge of construction methods and technologies and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts. Familiarity with construction management and office productivity software, with the ability to learn site-specific web-based mobile document and project management solutions.
OSHA 10 Certification required upon hire.
Willingness to relocate where the work project is located.
• Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in maintaining the construction processes that build the foundation for a successful project, such as safety, quality, submittals, equipment delivery, scheduling, budget, and cost control.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists to effectively communicate scope requirements to the subcontracting community.
Regularly conduct construction walks, including scope walks, pre-construction walks, in-progress visits, safety walks, completion walks, and attend contractor coordination meetings.
Maintain daily logs and produce reports as necessary for construction activities, trends, financial expenditures, equipment rentals, and other site-specific processes.
Develop internal and external reports to convey project progress.
Manage the risk log, and proactively mitigate risks to ensure minimal to no impact on construction activities and financial expenditures.
Ensure that the project complies with legal requirements, such as building and safety codes.
Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other problems with the project.
